My Dream Vacation Essay | Essay on My Perfect Dream Vacation, My Dream Trip

January 12, 2022 by Prasanna

My Dream Vacation Essay: In our daily lives, we are often trapped in routine ways of doing things. Almost all of us want to take a break and spend a vacation at a place away from cities, preferably close to nature. It’s an ideal place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and the stress that goes along with it. The ideas of the dream vacation can vary from one person to another as per their choice and perception of a perfect place for vacation.

Some dream about relaxing on a warm, sunny beach within soft ocean breezes. Some think of viewing snow-capped mountains while enjoying a trek and some may look for forests and wildlife. Such dreams about vacation trips are related to many aspects of our lives and experiences. Vacation dreams represent the desire to go on a trip to get a much-needed break from the daily routine.

Long Essay on My Dream Vacation

The place for my dream vacation

Everyone has a dream place to spend a vacation with family and friends. Many of them are fortunate enough to get the chance to fulfill their desire. In this regard, I also have a dream of spending time in a place to get a feel about the environment, people, and culture of that place. I love mountains, especially the Himalayas. I would like to spend my dream vacation at a place where I can experience the beauty of the Himalayas and breathe some fresh air free from pollution while traveling along the tracks amidst flora and fauna.

For me, an ideal place for vacation is Pelling situated in Sikkim, India. It is a popular place for its natural scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. From enjoying the beauty of mountains, lakes, and waterfalls to exploring the secrets of historical ruins, there are plenty of attractions that make it an ideal place for vacation. When I am looking for places to relax and rejuvenate, Pelling comes at top of my priority list.

Nature at its best

Pelling is a beautiful town located in the hills of the west district of Sikkim. The main attraction of the place is the breathtaking sight of the Kanchenjunga and the other peaks of the Himalayas. Pelling is my favorite hill station with a charm of its own. It offers a perfect break from a fanatic work schedule and makes me relax within the ocean of beauty and calmness. Pelling is a natural splendor with its magnificence and beauty.

The place enchants me with its fresh biospheres, great waterfalls, and shimmering lakes. I prefer spending my vacation in Pelling during the winters. This time of the year is a great season to witness the beauty of Pelling as the place remains covered with fresh snowfall which gives a feel like being in paradise. I highly recommend Pelling as a perfect holiday destination to relax with short tours in nature and the countryside.

The place and people

The view of the Kanchenjunga waterfall amidst the thick woody surroundings creates a sheer beauty. During the stay, a must-visit is the scenic Khecheopalri Lake, which has a lush backdrop of forest and hills. The lake holds special significance as it was known to be a wish-fulfilling lake. At the outskirts of Pelling, there is Darap Village with inhabitants from Limboo tribes. This place offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the original Sikkimese culture and the simple lifestyle of people. A walk through the village in the lap of nature will surely freshen up the body and mind. Staying in homestays will give a chance to enjoy the hospitality of local people along with getting a taste of authentic cuisines. All these are supplemented by nature exploration, bird-watching, hiking, and enjoying a unique experience of the village life here.

The Ancient and modern structures

A visit to the Rabdentse Ruins is another experience by itself. Spread across the hilltop, the ruins of the palace are surrounded by thick deciduous forests. A short walk to the top will bring a panoramic view of the valley and the mighty Kanchenjunga range. To spend some time with me, I must visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, a peaceful sanctum providing the perfect atmosphere for meditation and solitude. Another thrilling experience is walking on Pelling Skywalk which is a long bridge with glass floors.

Taste of local cuisines and culture

My special interest in spending vacation is exploring the taste of local cuisine. I know that the local cuisine of Sikkim is influenced by Tibetan and Nepali cuisine. I really can’t wait to have a taste of unique dishes like Thukpa, Momo, Churpi, Sel Roti, Kinema, Gundruk, and other delicious delicacies. A vacation is not complete without purchasing local products and mementos. Sikkim is famous for a variety of handicrafts and locally produced items that are unique to the place. I will find time to visit the local markets of Pelling and pick up handmade gifts and souvenirs like woven bamboo articles, colorful woolen scarves, Tibetan ornaments, and accessories. I will also fill my bag with spices like black cardamom, enjoy a cup of tea, and eat walnuts before going back to my city bidding goodbye to Pelling.

A vacation is a much-needed break from daily routine activities and a busy schedule. All of us want to escape for at least a few days from this mundane routine life and enjoy some quality time with family and near ones, in a relaxed mood. A vacation trip to a place of interest gives a soulful satisfaction and refreshes our minds. Everyone has some idea about what his/her dream vacation should be like. In most cases, it necessarily is a trip to a place away from the city which is unaffected by the hazards of day-to-day life. The main focus is to make the mind free from stress and the burden of work commitment. A vacation is a time to relax and rejuvenate after a stressful work schedule.

Being with the nature

Essay On My Dream Destination, Dharamshala

My Dream Destination Essay in English Hobbies are an integral part of everyone’s life. Traveling is my passion. I love traveling. It is also a journey, where we explore a variety of cultures, traditions, and languages, but all with a practical approach. There are different dream destinations people can have when it comes to traveling. While traveling, people like to explore different cuisines, talk to the local people, and want to have some memorable moments that last for a long time.

When we come back from any destination, we have a pile of beautiful moments that we gathered during the trip. Nothing can match this feeling.

Today, I am going to talk about my dream destination, which is Dharamshala. Million people have a dream to visit Dharamshala at some point in their life. India is rich in diversity with many states, having different cultures, traditions, and heritage.

Talking about Dharamshala, it is my dream destination. I already visited this place many times, but I would definitely want to go there again.

my dream destination essay in english

My Favourite Dream Destination Essay

I am a nature-lover person. When it comes to planning for a trip, I always prefer a destination, which is closer to nature and Dharamshala has no exception. Dharamshala is located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, a state in India. It is the winter capital city of Himachal Pradesh. It is just 18 kms away from Kangra, a city in Himachal Pradesh.

It has served as the place where many administrative headquarters of the Kangra District is located. Recently, the city has been chosen as one of a hundred in the country to be developed as a smart city under the flagship ‘Smart Cities Mission’ by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. I love this place because of its scenic beauty.

What many people don’t know about Dharamshala is that there are 2 parts of the city. One part is called Lower Dharamshala, which is the commercial hub and packed with courts, markets, and the well-known Kotwali Bazaar. The second part is known as Upper Dharamshala, which is home to Mcleodganj and other structural buildings that give us an idea of its colonial past.

When we visit any part of Dharamshala, both of them have something different to offer. While visiting this destination in India, it lets travelers unwind and take in the beauty of its surroundings. I definitely want to visit this place for once more time with my family or friends.

It is an ideal dream destination for all those who want to redefine their traveling experience from valleys, hills, rivers, and forests to crazy adventure-based sports like trekking, paragliding, and rock climbing.

Different tourist attractions attract people from different parts of the world to visit this destination every year. Nature lovers and adventure seekers find this place very exciting and peaceful. Check out some sightseeing places we can visit in Dharamshala, which are mentioned below:

  • Triund Hill: It is known as the crown of Dharamshala. From one side, this hill is covered by the Dhauladhar range, and from the other side, it has rolling valleys. Travelers visit it and do trekking and organize picnics with some breathtaking views.
  • Dharamshala cricket stadium: It is one of the oldest places in Dharamshala. Its picturesque beauty is covered in the greenery of the Himalayan range. This stadium hosts a variety of cricket matches. It is called HPCA stadium.
  • St. John Church: It is another popular sightseeing place in Dharamshala. This church is one of the oldest places and has noticeable features, which make people feel stunned. If you want to engage in a moment of rediscovery, then this church is the best place to explore.
  • The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives: It is another enlightening travel place in Dharamshala. It is home to Tibetan literature. Here, we can find many salvaged manuscripts from the great exile of 1959.
  • Gyuto Monastery: It is one of the ancient and well-known monasteries in the state. It is also known for tantric meditation, Buddhist philosophy, and tantric ritual arts.
  • Dal Lake: It is also one of the most beautiful attractions in Dharamshala. This body of water is covered by coniferous deodar trees, which make it an ideal combination of coziness and romance. Tourists love to take photographs at this exotic place.

These are some popular places we can visit in Dharamshala. But on the other hand, there are many other famous temples, monasteries, and gardens in Dharamshala that can also give us the best traveling experience.

These are The Aromatic Tea Gardens, Namgyal Monastery, TsuglagKhang Complex, Bhagsu Falls, Bhagsunath Temple, Hanuman Ka Tibba, Kangra Fort, Indrahar Pass, etc.

I personally like Bhagsu Falls and Bhagsunath Temple. Bhagsu Falls is a waterfall in Dharamshala, which is surrounded by greenery and the best place for rock climbers and hikers. Here, there is a Bhagsunath Temple that is devoted to Lord Shiva and situated near the waterfall.

When we stand on the top of Bhagsu Falls, we get an incredible view of the entire city of Dharamshala. We can also visit local markets in Dharamshala, where we can buy some unique and artistic local items.

Local foods to enjoy

Dharamshala is known to be a spiritual and cultural abode. While the hills and magnificent spiritual centers are big attractions to beckon travelers, the food also plays a vital role in making our stay more wholesome and better.

We can take the pleasure of a variety of local foods in Dharamshala such as Tudkiya Bhat, Thukpa, Shapta, Momos, Maggi and Chai, Mittha, Dham, and many others.

Before visiting Dharamshala, I make advance bookings as it is a place where there is a huge rush every time. This is why it would be good to have advance hotel bookings. There are five-star hotels and lodges in Dharamshala, which we can choose from.

I never get bored visiting Dharamshala in my life as it is closer to me in every sense. It has given me the best memories of my life that I want to relive at some point.

Essay on Dream Destination in 1000-1500 Words

Dream Destination: The Enchanting Land of New Zealand

Introduction

Traveling is a passion that many people share. Exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating unforgettable memories are just some of the reasons why people love to travel. For me, one destination that has always been at the top of my bucket list is New Zealand. Known for its stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich Maori culture, New Zealand is a dream destination for many travelers. In this essay, I will discuss why New Zealand is my dream destination and why I believe it is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.

The Land of Adventure

One of the main reasons why New Zealand is my dream destination is because of the endless opportunities for adventure that the country has to offer. From bungee jumping in Queenstown to hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, New Zealand is a paradise for adrenaline junkies and outdoor enthusiasts. The country’s diverse landscapes, which range from snow-capped mountains to pristine beaches, provide the perfect backdrop for a wide range of activities.

One of the activities that I am most excited to try in New Zealand is skydiving. The thought of jumping out of a plane and free-falling through the sky before landing on a beautiful beach or lush forest is both exhilarating and terrifying. However, I know that the experience will be one that I will never forget and will push me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible.

In addition to skydiving, I also look forward to exploring New Zealand’s many hiking trails. The country is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, including Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound, and Mount Cook. Hiking through these pristine wilderness areas will not only allow me to connect with nature but also give me a sense of accomplishment as I conquer some of the country’s most challenging trails.

Cultural Immersion

Another reason why New Zealand is my dream destination is because of its rich Maori culture. The Maori people are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand and have a unique and vibrant culture that is deeply rooted in the land. From traditional Maori dances and songs to intricate wood carvings and woven textiles, the Maori culture is a living testament to the country’s rich history and heritage.

One of the things that I am most looking forward to experiencing in New Zealand is a traditional Maori cultural performance. These performances typically include haka dances, poi dances, and songs that tell the stories of the Maori people and their connection to the land. I am excited to learn more about the Maori culture and history and gain a deeper appreciation for the indigenous people of New Zealand.

In addition to experiencing traditional Maori culture, I also look forward to trying traditional Maori cuisine. Maori food is known for its use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and unique cooking techniques. From hangi, a traditional Maori feast cooked in an underground oven, to kumara, a type of sweet potato that is a staple in Maori cuisine, I am excited to taste the flavors of New Zealand and learn more about the country’s culinary traditions.

Natural Beauty

One of the main reasons why New Zealand is my dream destination is because of its stunning natural beauty. The country is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, including snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and lush forests. From the rugged coastline of the South Island to the geothermal wonders of the North Island, New Zealand is a photographer’s paradise and a nature lover’s dream come true.

One of the places that I am most excited to visit in New Zealand is Milford Sound. Located in Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is a stunning fjord that is surrounded by towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush rainforests. Taking a cruise through Milford Sound will allow me to experience the beauty of this natural wonder up close and capture some truly unforgettable photos.

Another natural wonder that I am looking forward to exploring in New Zealand is the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. This 19.4-kilometer hike is considered one of the best day hikes in the world and takes hikers through a diverse range of landscapes, including volcanic craters, emerald lakes, and alpine meadows. The views from the summit of Mount Tongariro are said to be some of the most spectacular in the country, and I can’t wait to see them for myself.

In conclusion, New Zealand is my dream destination for a variety of reasons, including its endless opportunities for adventure, rich Maori culture, and stunning natural beauty. From bungee jumping in Queenstown to experiencing a traditional Maori cultural performance to hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, there is no shortage of things to see and do in this enchanting land. I believe that New Zealand is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime, and I can’t wait to experience all that this incredible country has to offer.

Editor’s Note: We know that many of you are looking for help writing travel experience essays for school or simply writing about a trip for your friends or family. To inspire you and help you write your next trip essay—whether it’s an essay about a trip with family or simply a way to remember your best trip ever (so far)—we enlisted the help of Professor Kathleen Boardman, whose decades of teaching have helped many college students learn the fine art of autobiography and life writing. Here’s advice on how to turn a simple “my best trip” essay into a story that will inspire others to explore the world.

Welcome home! Now that you’re back from your trip, you’d like to share it with others in a travel essay. You’re a good writer and a good editor of your work, but you’ve never tried travel writing before. As your potential reader, I have some advice and some requests for you as you write your travel experience essay.

Trip Essays: What to Avoid

Please don’t tell me everything about your trip. I don’t want to know your travel schedule or the names of all the castles or restaurants you visited. I don’t care about the plane trip that got you there (unless, of course, that trip is the story).

I have a friend who, when I return from a trip, never asks me, “How was your trip?” She knows that I would give her a long, rambling answer: “… and then … and then … and then.” So instead, she says, “Tell me about one thing that really stood out for you.” That’s what I’d like you to do in this travel essay you’re writing.

The Power of Compelling Scenes

One or two “snapshots” are enough—but make them great. Many good writers jump right into the middle of their account with a vivid written “snapshot” of an important scene. Then, having aroused their readers’ interest or curiosity, they fill in the story or background. I think this technique works great for travel writing; at least, I would rather enjoy a vivid snapshot than read through a day-to-day summary of somebody’s travel journal.

Write About a Trip Using Vivid Descriptions

Take your time. Tell a story. So what if you saw things that were “incredible,” did things that were “amazing,” observed actions that you thought “weird”? These words don’t mean anything to me unless you show me, in a story or a vivid description, the experience that made you want to use those adjectives.

I’d like to see the place, the people, or the journey through your eyes, not someone else’s. Please don’t rewrite someone else’s account of visiting the place. Please don’t try to imitate a travel guide or travelogue or someone’s blog or Facebook entry. You are not writing a real travel essay unless you are describing, as clearly and honestly as possible, yourself in the place you visited. What did you see, hear, taste, say? Don’t worry if your “take” on your experience doesn’t match what everyone else says about it. (I’ve already read what THEY have to say.)

The Importance of Self-Editing Your Trip Essay

Don’t give me your first draft to read. Instead, set it aside and then reread it. Reread it again. Where might I need more explanation? What parts of your account are likely to confuse me? (After all, I wasn’t there.) Where might you be wasting my time by repeating or rambling on about something you’ve already told me?

Make me feel, make me laugh, help me learn something. But don’t overdo it: Please don’t preach to me about broadening my horizons or understanding other cultures. Instead, let me in on your feelings, your change of heart and mind, even your fear and uncertainty, as you confronted something you’d never experienced before. If you can, surprise me with something I didn’t know or couldn’t have suspected.

You Can Do It: Turning Your Trip into a Great Travel Experience Essay

I hope you will take yourself seriously as a traveler and as a writer. Through what—and how—you write about just a small portion of your travel experience, show me that you are an interesting, thoughtful, observant person. I will come back to you, begging for more of your travel essays.

My Dream Vacation

My dream vacation is a magical adventure filled with excitement, fun, and unforgettable memories.

My dream vacation destination is a tropical island paradise. Crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft sandy beaches, and palm trees swaying gently in the warm breeze. I can already feel the sun kissing my skin as I run barefoot along the shore, collecting seashells and building sandcastles.

One of the best parts of my dream vacation is staying in a cozy beachfront bungalow. It’s painted in vibrant colors and adorned with seashell decorations. From my window, I can see the breathtaking sunrise every morning, painting the sky in shades of pink, orange, and gold. And at night, I fall asleep to the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore.

I would love to go snorkeling in the coral reefs, where I can swim alongside colorful fish and discover hidden underwater treasures. Imagine exploring a magical world beneath the sea, where every corner holds a new wonder to behold!

I would go on a thrilling adventure through the lush tropical jungle. I would zip-line through the canopy, feeling the wind rush past my face as I soar through the trees. Along the way, I might encounter playful monkeys swinging from branch to branch and exotic birds singing their sweet melodies.

Of course, no vacation would be complete without indulging in delicious food. I would feast on fresh tropical fruits like juicy mangoes, sweet pineapples, and creamy coconut. And for dinner, I would savor mouthwatering seafood dishes prepared with local ingredients and bursting with flavor.

But perhaps the most unforgettable part of my dream vacation is the opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture. I would learn traditional dances, listen to captivating stories from the elders, and make friends with the warm and welcoming people of the island. I believe that experiencing different cultures enriches our lives and broadens our perspectives.

As the sun sets on my dream vacation, I feel a sense of gratitude and contentment wash over me. It’s been an incredible journey filled with laughter, adventure, and new discoveries. And as I drift off to sleep, I know that these memories will stay with me forever, inspiring me to dream big and explore the world around me.

My dream vacation is a magical escape to a tropical island paradise, where I can immerse myself in adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration. It’s a journey of a lifetime that I can’t wait to embark on someday soon. Until then, I’ll keep dreaming and imagining all the wonders that await me on my dream vacation.

It was almost impossible. I would never imagine that I would have a chance to visit this country. I have always read promotional materials on the country; the promotions were not only captivating, but promised that the country is not only enchanting but also captivating; it is uplifting to the soul, and it will make any person feel that he or she is among the favorites. Therefore, I have always looked forward to any opportunity to visit the country. When I arrived at my dream destination, I was overwhelmed by the abundance of attractions. Mauritius, my dream destination, was a gorgeous sight.

In this blue turquoise and ashen sandy beach surrounded Island, I was bewildered to learn of the landmark church with a red roof. I was surprised to learn about the extravagant lifestyle of Mauritius nationals and their heritage while there. I remember th

e spectacular Pamplemonsses Garden that houses the chateau of Pierre Poivre. The species of flora and fauna in the renowned garden date ages back. The island’s countryside is marked by picturesque meadows beautifully fading into the horizon. The joy of sightseeing at Black River George national park was immense. Mauritius is an enthralling, world-in-one-island portion of paradise; a country filled with historic sites, rich in cultural diversity and geographical disparities, and offers limitless activities that offer a distraction from the magnificent pulverize of the beach and pool.

Though the trip came at an inconvenient time due to financial constraint, I enjoyed every bit. With a pleasant tropical climatic condition, this island is the perfect place to spend one’s holiday. Every visitor is accorded a lifetime experience. In contrast to th

multitude of colors and preferences, the country, is established in a turquoise sea, it a sanctuary of peace and serenity. The country is a smooth blend of the past and the present, medieval and modernity, and provides an essential beauty, which compels one to return at every opportune moment.
